The Scabby Knees are an experienced pop punk band from Westerlo, formed in 2020 by Teun Van Aerschot, former lead singer for melodic hardcore acts Break of Day and Generation 84, who in an attempt to get some relief from an exhausting personal struggle, locked himself up in his rehearsal space and poured his heart out in the form of music. What resulted was a bunch of songs which initially came out in the style of The Priceduifkes, but has with the help of producer Stijn Debontridder of Masterplan Audio Productions since evolved into a heavily melodic and melancholic style, reminiscent of The Menzingers, The Ataris and No Use For a Name.
