Our Story

Bearded Punk Records was founded in the early 2010s as an extension of the broader Bearded Punk community—a DIY-driven initiative that started as a way to promote underground punk and hardcore music. Before becoming a label, Bearded Punk existed primarily as a platform for interviews, reviews, and coverage of smaller bands that weren’t getting mainstream attention.

The label itself grew out of a simple need: many of the artists they supported lacked access to traditional record deals or proper distribution. Rather than waiting for industry recognition, the founders decided to create their own outlet to release music, organize shows, and help bands build an audience on their own terms.

From the beginning, the goal wasn’t just to put out records, but to strengthen the scene—connecting bands, fans, and promoters across borders. This grassroots, community-first mindset is still at the core of Bearded Punk Records today, shaping its focus on authenticity, collaboration, and keeping the punk spirit alive outside of the mainstream industry.
